Hamas responded to Qatar and Egypt's proposals for a Gaza ceasefire and the release of hostages.

The Qatari Prime Minister and US Secretary of State Anthony Blanken have confirmed that they have received the response from Hamas regarding the framework of the agreement.

In a joint press conference with the Qatari Prime Minister in Doha, Blanken said that he is examining the response of Hamas. He will discuss the response of Hamas with the Israeli authorities today. There is still a lot of work to be done, but he is confident that an agreement is possible.

Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman al-Thani called Hamas' response promising and said that he could not reveal the details of the framework of the agreement at this critical time.

He said that the US is committed to a pause in the Gaza conflict that will bring lasting peace, and will do everything possible to extend the pause for the release of the hostages.

Hamas said the deal's proposals include ending the siege of Gaza and Israeli aggression against our people, ensuring relief, shelter and rehabilitation.

It should be noted that since October 7, more than 27,585 Palestinians have been martyred in brutal Israeli attacks on Gaza.
