Lahore (News advertisment Latest - 08 January 2022) The Meteorological Department has forecast that the rains in the city will continue for another 24 hours. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather in the city remained cloudy yesterday. Due to cold winds in the city, the temperature dropped significantly which led to an increase in cold. On Saturday morning, the maximum temperature in the city was 12 degrees Celsius At least 7 degrees Celsius was recorded.

On the other hand, according to the Islamabad administration, there is a danger of flood situation in different parts of Islamabad, in view of which rescue teams have been placed on high alert. In this regard, the Islamabad administration has also issued an advisory in which the concerned authorities have been urged to give priority to all rescue calls related to floods.Rains are continuing in Islamabad which may cause flood situation in E-11, Karamri, Sawan, Bara Kahu and Nala Korang and other areas.

It may be recalled that due to rains in different parts of Punjab, 7 persons including two children and a woman were killed and 12 others injured in the accidents and they were shifted to the hospital. Roof collapses occurred in Gujranwala, Kasur, Chiniot and Gujarat. Heavy rains also lashed Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Nankana Sahib, Sangla Hill, Mandi Bahauddin, Chishtian, Dunyapur and many other cities of Punjab.

In addition, heavy rains inundated several areas of Balochistan including Quetta, Turbat, Sibi and Lasbela. Three children were killed when a roof collapsed in the Othello area of   Lasbela. Prime Minister Imran Khan has demanded a report from the Chief Minister of Balochistan on the damage caused by rains in the province.
