Islamabad (Urdu Point. DW news advertisment. February 23, 2022) The main route for the flow of migrants to Europe is the Mediterranean coast. Egypt, which connects North Africa to the Middle East, has for some time been trying to reduce the flood of migrants heading for Europe as much as possible. The Hungarian foreign minister, who is on a visit to Egypt, on Wednesday praised the Egyptian government's efforts to stem the flow of migrants trying to reach the port on the Mediterranean coast.
Speaking at a news conference in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, Hungarian Foreign Minister Szijjarto Peter called on the European Union to increase its support for Egypt and to provide funding for the Cairo government.
The Hungarian Foreign Minister made the remarks after meeting with his Egyptian counterpart Sami Shukri.
Egypt currently hosts more than six million refugees, according to the International Organization for Migration.
Half of these migrants, three million Africans, live in Sudan, especially in South Sudan.

Conflicts in this African country force tens of thousands of people to flee their homes every year. For many immigrants, Egypt is a haven and destination that is closest to them where entering is the easiest process for them.
On the other hand, there are those for whom Egypt is an important gateway for the dangerous attempt to cross the Mediterranean, moving towards Europe.
The Egyptian government has also cracked down on immigrants in recent years. The Cairo government has tightened border security measures in an effort to prevent Egypt from becoming the largest destination for migrants seeking entry into Europe.
Since 2015, many EU member states have erected barbed wire fences to monitor their national and EU external borders. Drones are also used for border surveillance. In addition, the European Union has signed agreements with Turkey and Libya on the prevention of migration.

He goes so far as to say, Immigrants are a major threat to the transformation of European Christian values and culture. In addition, illegal immigrants have been involved in bringing various virus variants to Europe and spreading them here, causing diseases such as the codeine.
