Karachi (Urdu Point latest newspaper. February 19, 2022): Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan leader Sohail Mansoor resigned from the membership of the Coordination Committee. According to details, Khawaja Sohail Mansoor, a key leader of MQM Pakistan, has submitted his resignation to Convener Coordinating Committee Khalid Maqbool, disagreeing with the party's policies. Explaining his resignation, Sohail Mansoor said that we cannot do anything for the people but we are still part of the federation.
Sohail Mansoor said that what can he get for Karachi from the federation and the province in four years? Despite joining the federation, the problems of the city leader are not being solved. Khawaja Sohail Mansoor said that the deprivations of Karachi are increasing therefore it is not right to sit on the chair of coordination committee, we have to go to the people, what will be the answer to the questions of the people.
It may be recalled that Sohail Mansoor was also a candidate from MQM Pakistan in the Senate seat which became vacant after the disqualification of PTI leader Faisal Wawda.
While speaking on a program on private TV channel Geo News, Karachi Mayor Wasim Akhtar spoke on various topics including political situation and said that even today I wonder how Imran Khan became the Prime Minister. During the program, Wasim Akhtar said that if it were not for space creatures, PTI would never have got 14 seats from Karachi. Earlier, the MQM, a key ally of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government, had refused to accept more ministries.
The MQM, Pakistan's largest ally, has made it clear to the government that it will not take on more ministries because it cannot bear the brunt of the government's reputation. Informed sources told the national newspaper The News that the MQM had recently been offered more ministries but MQM Pakistan's response was that it was already carrying a heavy burden on the government and was facing criticism.
