Doha (Urdu Point Latest News. August 15, 2022) The government reacted to the video of foreign workers protesting against not getting wages in Qatar. According to the details, the Ministry of Labor responded to a video clip circulating on social media in which workers can be seen protesting and demanding wages from various private companies. They are seen demonstrating on the road, this video was posted on Twitter by a local resident, the citizen also tagged the Ministry of Labor in his tweet.

Qatar's Ministry of Labor responded to the matter brought up by the citizen, in which the Ministry of Labor confirmed that action was being taken against the institutions involved in the violation of the law on payment of wages. Yes, necessary legal action is being taken to ensure that a wage protection system is being enforced by making those who violate the law pay wages on time.

It should be noted that the Wages Protection System (WPS) is an electronic system of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and the Qatar Central Bank that monitors and documents the payment of wages to workers in accordance with the Labor Law No. (14) of 2004. The system ensures that workers receive their wages in an orderly and timely manner.
