Instructions to speed up the rescue, relief and rehabilitation efforts of the flood victims
Islamabad (Urdu Point News Latest - APP. August 21, 2022) Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has directed to speed up the rescue, relief and rehabilitation efforts of the flood victims. And Chairman NDMA Lt. Gen. Akhtar Nawaz issued during a telephone conversation and appreciated the cooperation and enthusiasm of the Pakistan Army for the rescue and relief of the flood victims.
According to a statement issued by the press wing of the Prime Minister's Media Office on Sunday, Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and the Army Chief discussed the relief and rehabilitation operations of the flood victims in the country, especially in Sindh province.The Army Chief informed about the full cooperation of the Pakistan Army in the relief operations in Sindh province.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif directed the supply of helicopters due to the destruction of communication roads and bridges in Sindh province and said that the use of helicopters in the supply of rescue and relief due to the cut off of ground communication in Sindh and Balochistan provinces. It will help to overcome difficulties.
The Prime Minister appreciated the cooperation and enthusiasm of the Pakistan Army for the rescue and relief of the flood victims.The Army Chief informed the Prime Minister that special instructions have been issued to the Commander Southern Command regarding relief operations in Balochistan.The Prime Minister also issued instructions to Benazir Income Support for immediate payment of cash amounts to flood victims in Sindh.Chairman NDMA informed the Prime Minister about the latest situation of rains and floods in Sindh province.
