Lahore: Advisor to caretaker Chief Minister Punjab and former Secretary Election Commission Kanwar Dilshad has said that the decision of the High Court will not affect the election for many days and according to him the elections can be held by February 11.
Speaking in the Geo News program Geo Pakistan, caretaker chief minister Punjab's adviser on law and former secretary election commission Kanwar Dilshad said that it is the constitutional responsibility of the election commission to accept the decision of the high court. has been withdrawn, now the larger bench will decide and until its decision comes, the commission will delay the election schedule for a few days, the schedule will be issued only after the decision of the larger bench.
The former secretary of the Election Commission said that the High Court judges refused to provide services, so the Election Commission took services from the bureaucracy. Officers took.
He further said that the Election Commission is bound by the decisions of the court while the petitioner filed the application very late, the commission had earlier told that the judiciary could not appoint officers due to its constraints, they should have gone to the court at that time. Now the schedule was to be released on December 16, going to court on such an occasion is beyond understanding.
Kanwar Dilshad said that it is the duty of every institution and citizen to accept the decision of the High Court, it will make a difference in a few days on the election, it will not make much difference. He will get the notification which will make a difference of a few days, so it is not appropriate to say that the elections will not be held, I think the elections will be held by February 11.
