ROME: A Pakistani couple was condemned to life in jail by an Italian court on Tuesday for the 2021 homicide of their little girl after she declined an organized marriage.
Saman Abbas, 18, was living in Novellara close to Bologna when she vanished in May 2021, having dismissed the earlier year her family's interest that she wed a cousin in Pakistan.
A council in Reggio Emilia in focal Italy decided that the guardians requested the homicide, and that an uncle had choked his niece.
The uncle was condemned to 14 years subsequent to tolerating a request deal, while two cousins were cleared in an issue which stunned the country.
