"Let’s not build and promote a culture of bribes," says Sameen Rana
As cricketers mull hopping from one team to another ahead of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 9 draft, Lahore Qalandars chief operating officer (COO) and team manager Sameen Rana has complained about franchises directly contacting players to buy them off and "promoting a culture of bribes".
Taking to his official account on X, formerly Twitter, Rana acknowledged the right of franchises to select their players, but urged against bribing players with money.
"Making a good team for your franchises is your right and for that you have the right to select player AVAILABLE in the draft or trade them where possible," he wrote in a post.
He added: "PSL franchises are one big family and we should not go directly to players and start offering them money and rewards to leave existing franchise."

He then went to demand establishments against paying off cricketers in the association.
"We should not form and advance a culture of pay-offs. Simply a modest solicitation," he added.
Rana's post comes when a few cricketers are supposed to switch groups before the PSL draft happens on December 13.
Establishments are purportedly connecting with players straightforwardly to either request that their establishments consign them or keep away from maintenance or make them accessible for drafts, so they could be picked in a superior class.
The players are purportedly being tricked through a superior class or more cash, which is all event before the draft.
There were reports that Quetta Fighters' Naseem Shah was moved toward by various establishments in front of the draft. He is presently expected to join Islamabad Joined together.
