If yes, then South Korea, one of the developed countries in Asia, is ready to welcome you.
Keep in mind that work from home is becoming the norm of most people's lives, that is, there is no need to go to the office, so they are also trying to see the world with their work.
The term digital nomad is used for such individuals.
Digital Nomad Visas are being issued by South Korea from January 1, 2024.
Under this visa program, foreigners will be allowed to stay in South Korea for up to 2 years.
According to a statement released by the Korean Ministry of Justice, a new digital visa is being introduced for foreign nationals.
Currently, people working from home are issued tourist visas to come to Korea, but under this new system, such people will be allowed to work while staying on Korean soil for a longer period of time, the statement said.
This program also has some conditions.
Aspirants have to submit documents to the South Korean embassy in their countries to prove that their annual income is 84 thousand 400 dollars.
The applicant must also submit documents confirming their employment.
Similarly, the aspirants must not have any criminal record.
These persons also have to have private health insurance and the minimum age is 18 years.
Candidates must also prove that they have been doing the current job for at least one year.
After issuance of visa, these persons will also be allowed to bring spouse and children below 18 years of age.
Visa holders will be allowed to stay in Korea for an initial period of one year, with the option of extending it for another year.
But those coming to Korea under this visa program will not be allowed to get a job in any company there.
