Young people expose Indian atrocities in Kashmir through social media, Dr Kaleem Abbasi

Muzaffarabad (Urdu Point Latest News - NNI. February 03, 2024) Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kashmir Professor Dr. Mohammad Kaleem Abbasi urged the youth to use social media as a weapon along with other means of communication to attract the attention of human rights organizations including the international community. Draw attention to the ongoing atrocities in Kashmir. According to a press release issued by the Public Relations Department of the University of Kashmir, the International Relations Department of the University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Muzaffarabad and the Institute of Multi-track Dialogue Development and Diplomatic Studies organized in the context of Kashmir Solidarity Day. He was addressing the seminar as a special guest.
The Vice-Chancellor said that any freedom movement requires passion, sacrifice and continuous struggle to achieve freedom and Kashmir Azadi Movement has all these aspects.
He said that there is a need to inform the youth about the real background of the Azadi Kashmir movement and the current requirements. Colorful programs have been arranged.
He said that for the freedom movement, we have to continue the struggle from generation to generation and the youth are the real inheritors of this movement. Other speakers including Senior Additional Secretary Education Syed Salim Gurdizi, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences Dr. Abdul Qadir Khan, former Secretary to the Government Zahid Hussain. Abbasi Director Multitrack Dialogue Development and Diplomatic Studies Dr. Waleed Rasool, DIG Jameel Mir, Chairman Department Dr. Mahmood Hussain, Director Students Affairs Dr. Sharjeel Saeed, Chairman Chemistry Department Dr. Naeem Ahmed, Dr. Imtiaz Awan and others said in their speeches. That the real message of Kashmir Solidarity Day is that the people of Kashmir should continue their struggle for freedom with unity.
He said that there are ups and downs in freedom movements, but perseverance is what makes these movements successful. He said that when our ideology is clear, no force can defeat us. To put before the world on the basis of facts. Speakers said that Pakistan is the only advocate of freedom struggle of Kashmiris, except Pakistan, no other country is standing in support of Kashmiris.
He said that Pakistan has supported the right of self-determination of Kashmiris at national and international level. The history of Pakistani people expressing solidarity with Kashmiris is very old. This unity is based on the two-nation theory of Kashmir. Even when Pakistan did not come into existence, solidarity was expressed with the Kashmiris. After the tragedy of 13 July 1931, the Kashmir Committee was formed in Lahore and then the Kashmir March was held.
He said that we have to move ahead keeping in mind the constitutional, legal, political and diplomatic aspects of the Kashmir issue and maintain unity in our ranks. When our voice is one, our demand is one, then our voice will be heard. A major purpose of celebrating Solidarity Day is to assure the people across the country engaged in practical struggle that the entire nation is with them.
Speakers said that India has besieged Kashmiris with 9 lakh troops after the August 5 move. People are imprisoned in their own homes, but India cannot keep Kashmiris besieged for long. The speakers reiterated their determination that on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day, the people of Azad Kashmir will express full solidarity with their sisters and brothers in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. A large number of students including faculty members participated in the seminar.
