Lahore (Urdu Point Newspaper Latest. May 18, 2024) An application has been filed in the Lahore High Court to investigate the Dubai leaks by FIA and FBR. The application was filed in the High Court by citizen Mishkoor Hussain through Nadeem Sarwar Advocate, in which The federal government, NAB, FIA and others have been made parties. The petition said that the names of many Pakistani politicians and businessmen have appeared in the Dubai leaks, it is necessary for every politician to disclose all their domestic and foreign properties.
The petition requested that the court order the FIA, FBR, NAB and other relevant agencies to investigate the Dubai leaks. .
Action should also be ordered against the owners if illegal property is proved. It should be noted that another leak was revealed in the name of 'Dubai Unlocked' regarding the details of the secret wealth of world leaders, politicians and other powerful people.
The details were released in the form of a data leak by the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP), another investigative consortium modeled after the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ). Eye-catching revelations were made in the OCCRP report. The report stated that the records of the properties were compiled on the basis of multiple data leaks in which journalists from 74 media houses from 58 countries participated and six months. The Zardari family and Pervez Musharraf were also mentioned in the report. Bilawal, Bakhtawar and Asifa emerged as the owners of two properties in Dubai's Jumeirah 1 and Al Safa 2 areas. According to the report, Hussain Nawaz Sharif also has properties in Dubai. are Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi's wife also turned out to be a property owner in Dubai. The report revealed that 17,000 Pakistanis had bought 23,000 properties in Dubai.
The names of PTI's Sher Afzal Marwat and Farhat Shahzai alias Farah Gogi were also included in the property leaks. Senator Faisal Vawda's name was also included in the names of property owners in Dubai. Four members of Sindh National Assembly also have properties in Dubai. The names of more than 6 members of the Provincial Assembly of Baluchistan and Sindh were also included in the property leaks.
