Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif called an emergency meeting

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has called a high-level meeting on Monday at 12 noon on the turbulent situation in Pakistan-administered Kashmir, which will be attended by the Prime Minister of Pakistan-administered Kashmir and other relevant stakeholders.


Federal Minister of Kashmir Affairs, Minister of Food Security and Minister of Energy will also participate in the meeting.

Earlier, Shahbaz Sharif has expressed concern over the ongoing violent protests in Pakistan-administered Kashmir and said, "Unfortunately, even in chaotic and conflictual situations, there are always some people who score political points."


In a statement released on social media, Shahbaz Sharif said, "Discussion, negotiation and peaceful protest are the beauty of democracy, but taking the law into one's own hands and damaging government property is totally tolerated." Should not be done.


He also appealed to all the parties to take a peaceful path.

The parties should show restraint, President Zardari

Pakistan's President Asif Ali Zardari has urged the parties regarding the tense situation in Pakistan-administered Kashmir to show patience and resolve the issues through dialogue and mutual consultation.


According to a statement issued by the Presidency, a delegation of members of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly belonging to the Pakistan People's Party parliamentarians met President Zardari in Islamabad, in which the President said that political parties, state institutions and the people should show responsibility so that hostile elements cannot take advantage of the situation.


The president added, "The demands of the Kashmiri people must be met according to law." I will discuss the grievances of the people with the Prime Minister of Pakistan to find a solution to the current situation.


According to the statement, the delegation informed the President about the recent tragic events in Pakistan-administered Kashmir. While expressing regret over the current situation, the President also condoled the death of the policeman.
