German police have raided properties to seize equipment and documents from members of a pro-Palestinian group that calls for Israel not to provide arms for war, with around 50 police officers raiding the northwestern state. Properties were searched, laptops, cash, cell phones and documents were seized.
In Germany, the interior minister of North Westphalia, Herbert Revel, said that the Palestine Solidarity Group has repeatedly tried to promote an anti-Israel and anti-Semitic worldview at its meetings and social media platforms.
According to the interior minister, the Palestinian support group was known to the authorities since May 2023. It had also protested against the supply of weapons to Israel, which is fighting Hamas in Gaza, and demanded from the German authorities not to supply weapons to Israel. The said group also organized a rally in front of the headquarters of the German arms manufacturer Rheinmetall and demanded that no arms be given to Israel. No one was immediately available.
