Islamabad (Urdu Point Newspaper Latest - International Press Agency. May 14, 2024) The Islamabad High Court has reserved its decision on the post-arrest bail application of former Prime Minister Imran Khan in the 190 million pound Al-Qadir Trust reference. A two-member bench headed by Court Amir Farooq reserved its decision on this request. The hearing of the 190-pound Al-Qadir Trust case is being held in Rawalpindi's Adiala Jail and Islamabad's Accountability Court Judge Nasir Javed Rana is hearing this reference. .

Apart from Imran Khan, his wife Bushra Bibi is also a named accused in this case, but the NAB officials told the court that the arrest of Bushra Bibi is not required for the investigation. It has been completed Imran Khan's lawyer Salman Sardar Latif Khosa has completed his arguments in this application. NAB Prosecutor Amjad Pervez opposed the bail application of Imran Khan and said that it is an open and shut case and there are irrefutable evidences in it. He said that the money should have come to the Government of Pakistan. Jahangiri asked the NAB prosecutor that you don't have any document about it and all these are verbal statements.

He said that he had asked earlier that you have the order of freezing or de-freezing? You said that you do not have any of these documents. Justice Jahangiri asked whether you have any evidence of out-of-court settlement. You only talk about what you have evidence for. NAB Prosecutor Amjad Parvez said that the Supreme Court wrote in the order that this money belongs to the State of Pakistan and the Supreme Court has declared that the money was wrongly sent to the account of the Supreme Court. Azam Imran Khan said that it was his success to freeze this money. He said that according to the documents, the money could not have been transferred without the permission of the National Crime Agency.

The NAB prosecutor said that this money was transferred after the confidentiality deed was executed and the main accused in the case, Imran Khan, was the head of the East Recovery Unit. On which Amjad Pervez argued that he has re-read the confidentiality deed after bringing it to the attention of this court, 'The confidentiality deed was a big fraud because the East Recovery Unit was a direct subsidiary of the Prime Minister. Justice Tariq Jahangiri inquired that How is Imran Khan related to it? On which the court was told that a public servant cannot take a gift from a person whose case is pending with him.

He said that instead of this, 458 kanals of land were bought and transferred to the name of Zulfi Bukhari. On the inquiry of the court, it was told that the land was bought from private people and transferred to the name of Zulfi Bukhari and the letter from NCA of East Recovery Unit. The NAB prosecutor said that when the land was transferred, the Al-Qadir Trust did not exist.

After the NAB prosecutor's arguments were completed, the court reserved its decision on Imran Khan's bail application. It should be noted that the Al-Qadir Trust case is related to the donation of more than 450 kanals of land that was given by Bahria Town to Al-Qadir University. The PDM government had alleged that this matter was not a donation but the result of a secret agreement between Bahria Town owner Malik Riaz and Imran Khan's government.

The PDM government claimed that the amount of 190 million pounds or 60 billion rupees of Bahria Town, which was handed over to the Pakistani government after being frozen in the UK, was owed to Malik Riaz after the Supreme Court's decision in the Bahria Town Karachi case. Alada was adjusted to the amount of 460 billion rupees, the trust to which this land was given was included in the trustees of Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi, Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Zulfi Bukhari and Babar Awan, but later these two Leaders were separated from this trust.
