Karachi (Urdu Point Latest News - APP. June 10, 2024) SSP Toheed Rehman Memon has said that measures are being taken to eliminate crimes in Korangi including Mehran Town with the cooperation of Kati, traffic jams and other problems and crimes. There will be comprehensive planning for Sadbab, enabling modern technology systems which will reduce the crime rate.
These views were expressed by the newly appointed SSP in Korangi District, Tawheed Rehman Memon, while addressing the luncheon given in his honor at Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) on Monday. On this occasion, KATI President Johar Ali Kandhari, Deputy Patron-in-Chief Zubair Chhaya, Law and Order Committee Chairman Danish Khan, Senior Vice President Nighat Awan, Vice President Muslim Mohammadi, Ex-President Masood Naqi, Ehtshamuddin, Sheikh Umar Rehan along with KATI were present. Other members were also present.
SSP Korangi Tawheed Rehman Memon added that he is aware that street crime has increased, he will try to solve the crimes with mutual consultation and cooperation with Kati. SSP said that foreign investors If the industrialists inform ahead of time on arrival, their security will be properly arranged by the police. The problem of encroachment is growing and effective strategies will be formulated to deal with it.
Earlier, Kati President Johar Kandahari congratulated the newly appointed SSP Korangi Toheed Rehman Memon and provided awareness of Korangi Industrial Area. He said that keeping in mind the previous services of SSP Korangi Tawheed Rehman Memon in the police, he hoped that his appointment would help curb the rising crime rate in Korangi.
He said that there has been a decrease in crime for some time, but there has been an increase in street crime. Deputy Patron-in-Chief Zubair Chhaya said that under the guise of labor welfare in Korangi, there are many so-called organizations in the industries which are involved in extortion and blackmail by threatening the industrialists, such elements must be eliminated immediately.
Danish Khan, the chairman of Kati's Standing Committee for Peace and Order, said that as in the past, there has been a significant reduction in extortion, kidnapping for ransom and other serious incidents in the city, but during street crimes, robberies of traders and industrialists and other citizens have increased. During violence and killing incidents, immediate action is very necessary. On this occasion, Nighat Awan, Muslim Mohammadi, Masood Naqi, Ehtshamuddin, Sheikh Umar Rehan and others also discussed the issues related to law and order facing Korangi industrial area.
