Mukoana (Urdu Point Akhbartaza Tarin - NNI. 01 June 2024) A memorandum of understanding has been signed between the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Investment Commission of Ethiopia under which both institutions will cooperate in textile, agriculture, livestock, poultry, information technology. And can jointly invest in other sectors. This memorandum of understanding was signed by Senior Vice President of Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry Dr. Sajjad Arshad and Deputy Commissioner of Investment Commission of Ethiopia Dr. Zelek Temisgun.
On this occasion, Dr. Sajjad Arshad said that there are abundant raw materials available in Pakistan and Ethiopia for various sectors, the value addition of which can earn huge profits.
He said that the Faisalabad Chamber and the Investment Commission of Ethiopia will provide necessary information and facilities to the investors of both the countries for value addition in various fields.
Dr. Sajjad Arshad assured Ethiopia of all possible support for the development of the poultry sector in particular and said that in this regard, all kinds of technical facilities can be provided to establish the foundation of poultry farming on a modern basis in Ethiopia. He also highlighted the role of Faisalabad in the textile sector and said that Faisalabad is playing a significant role in Pakistan's overall textile exports and we will also develop Ethiopia's textile sector on modern lines in this regard. Dr. Sajjad Arshad mentioned the Cyberabad project of Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Dr. Khurram Tariq in IT department and said that the Faisalabad Chamber is starting an innovative program on artificial intelligence for young graduates in this regard. And these training facilities can also be provided to Ethiopian youth and IT houses so that this country can also increase its IT exports.
