June 20, 2024) The opposition in the Senate termed the budget of the next financial year as an enemy of the people, saying that the government is not representing the people, the people gave the mandate to PTI and the government. Later, the parliamentary leader of Tehreek-e-Insaf, Senator Ali Zafar, while discussing the budget, said, "I wanted to talk, but there is no one responsible from the government side. There is no hope in this budget except to break the tax payer's back. This government is not representing the people. The people gave the mandate to PTI and The government was made by someone else, when ever an unrepresentative government imposes taxes, there is a reaction, three cases are recorded in history, there have been revolutions in Great Britain, America and French Republicans, if this back-breaking tax budget is approved. So very soon there will be a revolution in this country.
He said that I know the finance minister, his knowledge about taxation is very less, his government experience is very less, he became the finance minister straight from HBL president, the finance minister said in his speech that by identifying the disease According to him, what is the problem is that there is excessive government intervention. He said that more than half of the budget will be used to repay the debt. He said that every year they are taking more loans to repay the debt and this wheel is going on, no one is thinking of ending it. The mandate will not be returned, this system will not work, the mini budget will come in the next three months. He said that Election Commission of Pakistan is responsible for these conditions of Pakistan due to this budget property and construction business will end.
He said that this is such a budget that the people of a province are not present in the House, we cannot be dictated that the IMF is saying do this, then we are enacting this legislation. ANP Senator Haji Hidayatullah said that taxes have been increased in the budget, tax on medicines should be withdrawn, tax on property should be reduced. Senator Mohsin Aziz while reacting to Faisal Vawda's statement said that Faisal Vawda did not tell the whole truth attributed to me, don't blame SRO on PTI.
