(News advertisment Latest.newspaper 17 January 2022) NCOC has directed the provinces to implement Smart Lockdown within 48 hours. The provinces should impose sanctions after consulting with the stakeholders. According to media reports, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chairman National Command and Operations Center and Federal Minister for Planning Asad Umar.

The meeting also concluded preliminary consultations with the provinces on the new Corona sanctions. The situation after Omi Kroon was discussed. The decision regarding educational institutions will be made keeping in view the statistics of Corona positive cases. On the other hand, talking to media after the NCOC meeting, Education Minister Murad Rass said that Corona SOPs are being fully implemented in schools and no decision has been taken yet regarding holidays in educational institutions. He said that majority of school children have been vaccinated against corona vaccine and without vaccination children cannot attend school while a proposal to increase school attendance of children below 12 years to 50% is under consideration.

He said that the vaccination of teachers has been completed 100 percent. Provincial Education Minister Murad Rass said that 100,000 teachers are being trained to teach Holy Quran, out of which 64,000 have done Islamic or Arabic. He said that private and government educational institutions should make scarf and cape a part of uniform.
