Murree (news advertisment latest. January 12, 2022) Shahid Khaqan Abbasi says that there is a season in which rents increase, the majority of hotels in Murree do not belong to the locals. According to details, while talking in the jirga program of private TV channel Geo News, former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi clarified the complaints of tourists regarding the looting of hotels in Murree.

The PML-N leader said that the locals helped the people more and more, breaking the locks of their flats, which is not seen in other areas. He further said that there is a season in all of Pakistan in which hotel rents go up, most of the hotels in Murree are not owned by locals, locals own less than one third of the hotels.

On the other hand, General Secretary of Murree Hotel Association Raja Yasir Reyast Abbasi has said that incompetent Murree administration is responsible for Murree tragedy. Civil administration did not have any machinery to remove snow. The administration has not been able to reach there even in twenty hours. The district administration is throwing all the rubbish on the hotel industry and Murree residents to hide their incompetence. Absolutely wrong, those who are saying that the rooms were given for Rs. Twenty-two lives could have been saved if timely action had been taken. No local stakeholder has been included in the committee investigating the tragedy. The committee rejects this committee. If Murree's right is not opened then we will protest.
