Faisalabad (Urdu Point Newspaper Latest. 17 August 2022) Returning Officer of the Election Commission rejected the nomination papers of Imran Khan from NA-108 Faisalabad, the nomination papers will be rejected due to unsatisfactory statements of obligations, 20 regarding approval of papers. While the nomination papers of PTI leader Farrukh Habib and PML-N leader Abid Sher Ali have been approved. The Returning Officer of the Election Commission says that Imran Khan's papers were not rejected due to the issue of signature verification, the nomination papers will be rejected due to unsatisfactory statements of liabilities.


On the other hand, Tehreek-e-Insaf has decided to challenge the decision of the Returning Officer.


PTI leader Farrukh Habib says that the same nomination papers will be submitted from 9 constituencies and Imran Khan's nomination papers have been approved from 8 constituencies, but the Faisalabad Returning Officer Employee Election Commission has rejected the nomination papers unjustifiably.
