Talks continue on new temporary ceasefire in Gaza: Qatar

 December 16, 2023

Qatar has confirmed that talks are underway on a new temporary ceasefire in Gaza.

According to Arab media, the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs has said in a statement that diplomatic efforts are continuing for a temporary humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza.

The Qatari Foreign Ministry says that there is hope for positive progress on the temporary ceasefire that will pave the way for ending the war, stopping the bloodshed of the Palestinian brothers and for serious negotiations.

On the other hand, an American newspaper has also claimed that talks on a new temporary ceasefire in Gaza have started again.

According to the American newspaper, Israeli and Qatari officials will meet in Norway today to discuss the exchange of Israeli hostages and the release of Palestinian prisoners.

It should be noted that earlier, the 7-day temporary ceasefire brokered by Qatar in Gaza ended on December 1.

Since the end of the temporary ceasefire, Israel's attacks on Gaza have intensified and Israel's brutal attacks on Gaza's residential areas continue.

The Israeli army bombarded Jabalia Camp and Khan Yunis today, killing 35 Palestinians.

The Zionist army also bulldozed the tents of the homeless Palestinians in Kamal Adwan Hospital.

The total number of martyrs in Gaza has reached 18,800, including 8,000 children and 6,200 women.

The World Health Organization says only 11 of Gaza's 36 hospitals are operational with limited facilities.
