Prior, the electing body gave a warning expressing that electioneering for Thursday's races would end at 12 on the night between February 6 and 7, 2024, refering to Segment 182 of the Decisions Act 2017, which disallows any political movement after the predefined time span.


Segment 182 of the Decisions Act, 2017 peruses: "Disallowance of public gatherings during specific period: No individual will meet, hold or go to any open gathering, or advance or participate in any parade, inside the region of a body electorate or, on account of the Senate political race, a Territory, during a time of 48 hours finishing at 12 PM 'following' the finish of the survey for any political decision in that supporters or Area".
