Islamabad (Urdu Point News Latest - NNI. May 21, 2024) The District and Sessions Court Islamabad approved the 3-day physical remand of the former prime minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Tanveer Ilyas. According to the details, the former minister was arrested yesterday. Azam Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Tanveer Ilyas was produced in the District Court Islamabad. Sardar Tanveer Ilyas was produced by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIE) in the court of Civil Judge Abbas Shah, on behalf of Sardar Tanveer Ilyas. Sabir Malik Advocate and Naveed Raza Mughal Advocate appeared in the court.

The FIA prosecutor took the position that Sardar Tanveer Ilyas used diplomatic passport after leaving the post of Prime Minister, he visited Saudi Arabia on diplomatic passport, he could not use the passport after leaving the post of Prime Minister according to the law.


The FIA prosecutor argued that the passport of Sardar Tanveer Ilyas has been canceled but he has not returned it yet, the passport should be recovered from him, remand for 8 days.


Lawyer Safai said that Sardar Tanveer Ilyas is a former prime minister, he can use diplomatic passport, Sardar Tanveer Ilyas only visited Saudi Arabia on diplomatic passport, he has sought remand to recover the passport, we will present the passport in the court. The FIA prosecutor said that he has taken out his passport and confessed to the crime. The prosecutor asked for an 8-day physical remand of Sardar Tanveer Ilyas, but the court approved a 3-day physical remand of the former prime minister.
