Karachi (Urdu Point News Latest - NNI. May 23, 2024) Preparations for the grand and historic Gaza Million March to be held on Shahrah Faisal on Sunday, June 2 under the authority of Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi have begun, in this regard, under Acting Secretary Rashid Qureshi. A meeting of fraternal organizations was held in Noorhaq Institute under the chairmanship. Interim Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi Munam Zafar Khan took special part.
Leaders of lawyers community, scholars, teachers, doctors, engineers, businessmen and representatives of fraternal organizations from other fields participated in the meeting. In the meeting, Rashid Qureshi gave a briefing and necessary instructions regarding the grand and historic Gaza Million March on Shahrah Faisal in order to show solidarity with the people of Gaza and Palestine and the campaign and preparations and arrangements being conducted in this regard. Protests will be held outside mosques, handbills will be distributed outside mosques, camps will be set up at squares and intersections, floats will be run across the city from May 27 to 31.
Munaim Zafar Khan, while addressing the meeting, said that in the past, we have also held grand marches to show solidarity with the people of Gaza and Palestine, and now we will make the Gaza Million March on June 2 a success. Go door to door and intensify the campaign to enrich the people of Karachi and participate in large numbers.
He said that Israeli aggression and terrorism have been going on in Gaza and Palestine for the past 7 months, international powers are supporting Israel and global terrorism is vetoing the resolutions presented in the United Nations against America and Israel. We pay tribute to the Muslims of Palestine who are standing firm, more than 80% of Gaza has been destroyed and there are more than 80 thousand Palestinians in Rafah who are not happy because of the resistance of the Palestinian Muslims. Today, people of conscience are protesting against Israeli terrorism all over the world.
The movement that arose from Columbia University in the United States has spread to the universities of Great Britain, Italy, France and Germany. This series of solidarity with the people of Gaza and terrorism and aggression of Israel will continue.
