Islamabad (Urdu Point News Latest - APP. May 23, 2024) UK Department for Transport (UKDFT) security assessment team's visit to Islamabad International Airport has been completed. The UKDFT team reviewed passenger, crew, baggage and vehicle screening, as well as aircraft and baggage security measures.
Inspectors also reviewed additional security measures for direct flights to the UK and other measures at the airport, the relevant bodies implementing security measures for safe civil aviation at the airport to the standards set by the UK DFT. found to be compliant. The team appreciated the airport's stringent security measures to ensure safe flight operations. The UK DFT team also made a few recommendations to the PCAA during the de-briefing, the statement said. The final report will be submitted to PCAA in three weeks.
