Faisalabad (Urdu Point Newspaper Latest - APP. 07 June 2024) The Department of Meteorology has prepared an immediate advance flood fighting plan to deal with the forecast of more than normal rains during the next monsoon and to deal with any expected situation. In this regard, the department directed to keep all the necessary machinery in working condition and said that all relevant government departments including WASA, Municipal Corporations, Town Administration and Municipal Committees should take preventive and preventive measures to avoid any unpleasant situation arising in the coming rainy season. Keep complete so that there is no difficulty in dealing with any emergency during expected floods and possible abnormal rains.
The spokesperson of Faisalabad Divisional Administration said that the officials of the Inhar department along with the administrative officers will jointly inspect the protective dams of the rivers and if the protective dams are found to be weak at any place, then repairs will be started immediately.
He also directed to complete other necessary measures including establishment of control rooms and relief centers, transport services, duty roster for staff.
He said that due to the rains in various cities in the last few days, effective measures should be taken to prevent the spread of dengue. He urged to speed up the strong social movement against dengue and said that in the stores of the government offices, the unusable goods and other junk should be disposed of according to the regulations. Also directed to ensure mechanical destruction of dengue larvae by continuously checking other possible sources.

June 12, 2024) The Meteorological Department has predicted that during the next 24 hours, the weather will be hot and dry in most of the cities of Punjab, including the provincial capital Lahore, while it will be partly cloudy in the northeastern regions. Apart from staying, there is a possibility of rain with strong winds and thunder at few places.
According to the spokesperson of the Meteorological Department, during the last 24 hours, the weather was hot and dry in most of the cities of Punjab, including Lahore, while the central and southern regions were under the grip of extreme heat.
In Lahore, the minimum temperature was recorded at 31 centigrade and the maximum at 44 centigrade, while the humidity ratio in the air was 18%. The overall pollution rate in Lahore was 84%, while in other parts of the city Netsol Office 84, CERP Office 81. , Pakistan Engineering Services 79, Johar Town Block A 69, UMT 68, Syed Marabat Ali Road 69, Revenue Society 68 and Lahore American School recorded 62 Air Quality Index.
