Texas (Urdu Point News Latest - NNI. 04 June 2024) Clive Stafford Smith, the lawyer of Dr. Aafia imprisoned in the Fort Worth jail in the US state of Texas, has said that Dr. Aafia is still subjected to continuous sexual harassment in the prison of Fort Worth. is going and Dr. Aafia was still raped by a guard two weeks ago as punishment. He disclosed this while talking to Dr. Aafia after meeting him.
He said that the series of sexual abuse of Dr. Aafia has not stopped yet, she is still being subjected to rape and continuous sexual harassment in the jail. He said that I met Aafia on Thursday and Friday during which there was a glass wall in the middle and all the conversations were on the phone. He said that the phone was not working properly in all his meetings with her. And we were shouting to each other on the phone.
He said that he complained to the jail authorities and after two days a second phone call was given, so when his sister Fawzia met Dr. Aafia on Sunday, Aafia was crying profusely and the jail authorities took Aafia out of there. They took him but his sister who was in the other room in front forgot him, thus Dr. Fawzia remained locked in this room for about one and a half hours.
Lawyer Clive Stafford Smith, in response to a question regarding the case, said that he was very optimistic about the release of Dr. Fauzia. Which will inform the White House in this regard. He said that the officials he is meeting with cannot share their names, but he now hopes that there is a lot of progress in this case and that we are going in the right direction in this regard.
