T20 World Cup 2024: New Zealand Dominates, Restricts Papua New Guinea to 78 All Out

New Zealand bowled out Papua New Guinea for 78 in the wake of winning the throw as they selected to handle first in their last round of the legue phase of the T20 World Cup 2024 being played at the Brian Lara Arena, Trinidad and Tobago.


Lockie was the pick of the bowler for News Zealand with his record equalling spell of three wickets offering no run by any means. He is just the second bowler to accomplish this accomplishment in T20 World Cups. Trent Boult, Tim Southee and Ish Sodhi all got two wickets each.


Charles Amini was the top scorer for PNG with 17 while Norman Manua scored 14 runs.


Both the groups have previously been wiped out from the competition. New Zealand were taken out of the opposition in the wake of losing their two starting games against Aghanistan and West Indies.
