Islamabad (Urdu Point. DW Urdu. 06 February 2024) Whitney Wright is visiting Iran at a time when Nargis Mohammadi, a Nobel laureate and representative of women's rights, is in jail. Mohammadi was detained in 2022 for supporting anti-government protests in the context of women's rights in Iran.

Wright has been advocating for Palestinian rights over Israeli air and ground operations in Gaza since the October 7 attack by Hamas on Israel. He visited the former US Embassy building in Tehran on Monday. In 1979, this building was vacated in the wake of the Islamic Revolution in Iran and the hostage crisis.
Wright has made videos of himself throughout Tehran and posted them on social media. This actress associated with the pornography industry may even face a terrible trial in Iran.
Wright did not respond to an AP request asking why she had gone to the former US embassy. Wright, however, took to social media and wrote 'Jana hi tha' along with pictures of the visit.
It should be noted that this building of the former American embassy now exists as a museum under the supervision of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards. "I'm sharing never-before-seen photos of this museum," Wright wrote on Instagram along with the photos.
Wright, an American citizen born in Oklahoma City, had to get a visa to Iran, but according to the AP news agency, the Iranian Mission to the United Nations has not commented on Wright's visit.
When the spokesperson of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs was asked about this, he also expressed his ignorance about Wright's visit.
